Houstonians have an abundance of choices when it comes to finding a place to spend their twilight years.

Senior living operators have been opening and planning new properties across the Houston area, from urban neighborhoods like the Heights to farflung suburbs like The Woodlands.

“The population is aging and more importantly people are living well into their 80s and 90s, which wasn’t the case 30 years ago,” said Andy Cohen, CEO of Caring.com, an online resource for senior care.
